Can the Steelers Rally Again for Another Super Bowl?
Apparently, many NFL Football fans STILL think so.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are in a funk, again, yep just like the last NFL Football season when they rallied and went on to win Super Bowl XLI.
Well, as of press time, they are 1-4, and yep, they dropped three games in a row after winning their season opener against the also struggling Miami Dolphins.
Apparently, some people think that the Pittsburgh Steelers defense will still carry the team over this early season slump. Well, who can blame them? After all, the Steelers defense are indeed one of the best in NFL Football.
And yeah, they did this last NFL Football season, proving that the Steelers do have the
heart of champions. They just don’t know when to quit. And as long as Bill Cowher is at the sidelines, it’s only a matter of time before they finally put it on and rally to win yet another Super Bowl title in Miami, Florida this season right?
Um… I beg to differ.
Yes, the Pittsburgh Steelers defense is indeed a force to reckon with on that NFL Football field. But what good is a defense without a good offense to score for the team?
Ben Roethlisberger, at this point, isn’t providing his team the kind of offense good enough to score enough points to win a football game. He is just not playing good. Plain and simple. And since the horrific motorcycle accident, it seems there’s really nothing BIG about Big Ben anymore.
It seems as though Ben Roethlisberger lost 10-15 percent of the fearlessness that used to be a hallmark of his play. He’s not going out there and making plays with his legs and knowing that he can pick apart an offense. Until he’s able to do that this team will continue to struggle, and boy, it will be one long season then.
And oh yeah, it’s no coincidence that the Pittsburgh Steelers scored their first and only win of the NFL Football season with Charlie Batch running the offense. Since Ben Roethlisberger returned on NFL Week 2, replacing Batch at QB of course, it was all downhill.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to come up with a solution here. Just let Ben Roethlisberger rest and start Charlie Batch. You’ll be surprised what happens next.
